A patrol from the Directorate of Intelligence in the Lebanese Army arrested today, Sunday, in the city of Aley, the Syrians (M.Q.) and his brother (Sh.Q.), who are wanted on multiple arrest warrants for forming, with others, a gang that commits theft and robbery with violence, as well as kidnapping Syrians for ransom. They are also accused of impersonating security personnel, drug use, illegally entering Lebanon, and wandering without legal papers. A quantity of drugs, mobile phones, stolen motorcycles, and a jeep used in the thefts were seized from them.
Additionally, another patrol from the Directorate arrested in the Nuwairi area of Beirut the citizen (M.K.) and the Syrian (H.R.) for drug use and wandering without identification documents, with the former being found in possession of a quantity of Captagon pills.
The seized items were handed over, and an investigation began with the detainees under the supervision of the relevant judiciary, while efforts continue to arrest the remaining members of the gang.
