Time is moving like a double-edged sword, cutting through all hopes of a near exit from the labyrinth of crisis. Thus, nothing new has emerged that indicates the possibility of creating initiatives towards broader dialogues that could lead to the end of the presidential vacancy, which, as it seems today, is extending for a long time. The political forces concerned with halting the obstruction still cling to their impossible conditions that could hinder the achievement of the constitutional requirement at the beginning of the new year, 2023. The bleak situation in Lebanon led Pope Francis, during the Christmas Mass in the Vatican, to pray to God, saying, "Lord, help Lebanon to recover with the support of the international community and the power of brotherhood and solidarity," while Maronite Patriarch Bechara Boutros Al-Rahi addressed those responsible for the obstruction, saying, "Stop obstructing the election of the president." Sources from Bkerke revealed to "Al-Anbaa" that Lebanon, which has never been absent from the concerns of His Holiness the Pope, was intentionally included in his sermon as a reminder to the world, especially friendly nations, about the necessity of doing whatever they can to help Lebanon, which Pope John Paul II previously described as a country of message, because it is not permissible to neglect it. Based on this equation, the Vatican and friendly nations will not abandon Lebanon.
