The Information Branch of the Lebanese Internal Security Forces managed to identify a drug trafficking network headed by a wanted individual in the Lebanese judiciary, known as "F.J." (born in 1987, Lebanese). The members of this network were preparing a shipment of drugs to Belgium. As a result of extensive investigations and inquiries, all members of the identified network were determined. After close surveillance, one of the branch's patrols executed a precise ambush in Aramoun, which led to the arrest of F.J. Upon searching him, a quantity of cannabis and a forged Lebanese identity card were found in his possession. During the investigation, he admitted that the mastermind of the network was planning to smuggle a quantity of cannabis concealed in a charcoal grapevine to Belgium and that he had been tasked with transporting it from Baalbek to Beirut to deliver it to a shipping company for export. The branch also seized the grapevine containing the drugs.
