Russian Attack on Donetsk Results in Casualties

The governor of the Donetsk region, Pavlo Kyrylenko, announced that two people were killed and eight were injured in a Russian attack on the city of Toretsk in eastern Ukraine. He explained, "The Russians deliberately target civilians in the Donetsk region every day." Kyrylenko reported that Russia used high-explosive aerial bombs in the attack, which occurred around 11:30 AM local time (08:30 GMT), causing damage to a gas station and a multi-story building in the small city. He noted that rescue services are working at the attack site and urged the remaining residents to evacuate the city. Russia has previously denied targeting civilians and rejected claims of committing war crimes during what it refers to as a "special military operation."
