He is a member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), and he has served as the Palestinian Minister of Economy and Deputy Prime Minister. #### Biography
He obtained a bachelor's degree in engineering from the University of Baghdad, followed by a master's degree and a doctorate in management and economics from George Washington University. He worked for 15 years at the World Bank in Washington and served as the executive director of the Palestinian telecommunications company. He was appointed by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas as his economic advisor at the Presidential Office effective November 1, 2005. He became a member of the Executive Committee of the PLO after the Palestinian Central Council held its thirty-first session at the Palestinian presidential headquarters in Al-Bireh in February 2022. On January 11, 2023, he was appointed as the Governor of Palestine to the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development in Kuwait.
