The Release Clause Value in Mbappé's Contract with Real Madrid

A Spanish report revealed the value of the release clause in French player Kylian Mbappé's contract, who transferred from Paris Saint-Germain to Real Madrid. According to a report by the Spanish radio station "Cadena COPE," the release clause in Mbappé's contract amounts to one billion euros, similar to most stars of the "Royal Club."

The report also indicated that Mbappé will receive an annual salary of 30 million euros, in addition to bonuses tied to goals and performance, making him the highest-paid player at Real Madrid. Furthermore, Mbappé will receive 70% of the rights to sell his images for marketing and commercial purposes, with the remaining percentage going to the Spanish club.

French journalist Julien Laurent disclosed that Mbappé will receive a signing bonus of 150 million euros for joining the "Los Blancos." This amount will be paid to Mbappé over the duration of the contract, which spans five years. Usually, the signing bonuses from clubs to players increase when the transfer is free and does not cost the club anything, which is the case with Mbappé's move from PSG to Real after his contract expired.

It is expected that Mbappé will be unveiled in a grand ceremony after the conclusion of the UEFA Euro 2024 Championship in mid-July.
