Iranian Judiciary: Suspects in Shah Cheragh Attack are Foreigners

The Iranian judiciary announced today, Monday, that "the country has arrested eight individuals suspected of being connected to the attack that took place yesterday, Sunday, at a shrine in the city of Shiraz in southern Iran," noting that "they are all foreigners." The Mizan news agency, affiliated with the judiciary, stated that "the identity of the main perpetrator has been established as a citizen of Tajikistan, while the nationalities of the other suspects remain unknown." The Iranian news website Nour News reported that "one person was killed and ten others injured," describing it as an "terrorist attack" on the shrine known as Shah Cheragh. Iranian media have released footage documenting the entrance of the attacker to the Shah Cheragh shrine.
