Collective Penalties for Approximately 3,000 Teachers in Public Schools

According to "Al-Akhbar," around 3,000 teachers in public schools have been placed on salary deduction lists due to their continuation of last year’s strike after the unions ceased their movement. These teachers represent more than half of the active secondary education teachers and are engaged in teaching duties rather than administrative roles. It has been decided that their salaries will be deducted for a period ranging from three working days to fourteen days. Additionally, around 450 teachers have been placed on lists for "arbitrary transfers" to schools far from their residences, resulting in added transportation burdens.
