The Chinese Ministry of Defense stated today, Tuesday, that it has lodged strong protests with the United States regarding a package of military aid provided to Taiwan. A spokesperson for the ministry mentioned in a statement that China urges the United States to cease all forms of "military collusion" with Taiwan. He added: "The People's Liberation Army pays close attention to the situation in the Taiwan Strait and remains always in a state of high alert."
