In a surprising comedic segment after the event, King Charles and his wife Camilla interrupted American artists Lionel Richie and Katy Perry as they shared their experiences from the weekend on the television show "American Idol." King Charles asked Richie if they would stay "all night," referencing one of Richie's hit songs. Chuckling, the king said, "I just wanted to check how long you've been using this hall?" He added, "Thank you for the wonderful performance; your performance was amazing, Katy, it really was... having you both here is a wonderful gift."
