Title: Arrest of Harasser and Assailant of a Disabled Girl in Sidon

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division reported that "a citizen at the Sidon Al-Jadida police station in the Regional Gendarmerie Unit filed a complaint against the individual Y. A. (born in 1978, Palestinian) for the crimes of harassment and assault against her sister (born in 1981), who is disabled, after he lured her to his home. She also stated that the perpetrator had vanished after his actions were exposed." The statement announced the arrest of the individual through a well-planned ambush, and during interrogation by the Sidon Al-Jadida police station, he confessed to the charges against him. It added: "The detainee was handed over to the Human Trafficking and Morality Protection Bureau in the Judicial Police Unit for further investigation based on the instructions of the competent judiciary."
