The transitional president of Gabon, General Brice Oligui Nguema, announced today, Wednesday, in a statement broadcasted by state television, that "the ousted president Ali Bongo Ondimba is free to move around and can travel abroad if he wishes." The statement added, "Due to his health condition, former President Ali Bongo Ondimba enjoys freedom of movement. He can, if he wishes, travel abroad for medical examinations." Bongo suffered a stroke in October 2018 that resulted in a physical disability.
