The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces announced that on July 9, 2023, a citizen identified as J. S. reported a theft of money in both Lebanese and American currencies from his home in Mansourieh, through breaking and entering.
After investigations, suspicion fell on his neighbor, B. S., who confessed that he had conspired with another individual, M. Y., to invite the victim to his house to distract him while the latter executed the theft. It was found that he stole a sum of money from the house and handed over his share of the stolen amount ($1,400 and 40 million Lebanese pounds) to M. Y. The latter informed him that the total amount stolen was $3,500 and 65 million Lebanese pounds.
M. Y. was lured and arrested, confirming that the stolen amount was indeed $3,500 and 65 million Lebanese pounds. The money was returned to its owner, J. S.
