He noted that "the collapse occurred at a depth of 450 meters underground, without providing a reason," and clarified that the injured workers were transferred to the hospital. Governor Osman Haji Bektaşoğlu explained to reporters that "the incident occurred at the Armutçuk coal mine, which is owned by the Turkish hard coal institution, managed by the state, in the Ereğli region of Zonguldak province."
