Italy Confirms Support for Lebanon in the Agricultural Sector

The office of caretaker Minister of Agriculture Abbas Al-Hajj Hassan reported that "the minister explained, during his meeting with Italian Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Maria Tripodi and the advisor to the president Giovanni D'Avoli, on the sidelines of the food systems summit held in Rome, the existing cooperation and the necessity to activate and expand cooperation, as it is the only way to revive the national economy and protect food security from any disruption." The office stated in a press release that "the Italian side confirmed, during the meeting, its support for Lebanon in all circumstances, especially in the agricultural sector." Tripodi spoke about "support for the benefit of food security."
