The Italian engineering group "Maire Tecnimont" announced today, Saturday, that it has secured two contracts valued at approximately $2 billion to expand petrochemical production at the SATORP refinery in Saudi Arabia. The SATORP refinery, located in the city of Jubail, is a joint venture between Saudi Aramco and TotalEnergies from France. Maire Tecnimont stated that "the contracts for engineering, procurement, and construction services will increase the group's revenues in 2023 and in the coming years," considering that the contracts will raise the value of orders from the beginning of the year to date to over €2.6 billion ($2.83 billion). The CEO of the Italian group, Alessandro Bernini, said in a statement: "These two contracts will represent a significant addition to our €8 billion business volume, increasing revenues in the short and medium term."
