The Lebanese Army Command urged citizens to exercise responsibility and adhere to peaceful expression of opinion, and to refrain from targeting military personnel and public and private properties. It added: "In light of the condemned massacres committed by the Israeli enemy in the occupied Palestinian territories, the latest being the massacre resulting from the bombing of the Baptist hospital in Gaza, in addition to continuous violations, assaults, and bombardments on the southern border areas of Lebanon, protests and movements condemning these acts have taken place, which have been accompanied by riots, vandalism, and assaults on public and private properties, resulting in injuries to several military personnel while carrying out their duties to maintain the security of the demonstrations."
