Spain Intercepts Ship with Two Tons of Cocaine

The Spanish Revenue Agency announced on Wednesday that police seized two tons of cocaine valued at approximately 70 million euros ($76.7 million) after intercepting a single-masted sailing ship off the northern coast of the country. It clarified that the location of the shipment in the Bay of Biscay was "completely exceptional." Most cocaine shipments from Latin America to Europe are intercepted along Spain's western Atlantic coastline. The ship, named Knight Falls, measuring 13 meters in length, was sailing under a British flag when it was intercepted about 30 nautical miles off the coastal city of Santander. Its crew of four included one Spaniard, one Colombian, and two Venezuelans.
