Palestinian President Retires Several Governors

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas issued a decree today, Thursday, to retire several governors of the southern and northern cities. According to the Palestinian news agency "Wafa," the decree includes the governors of North Gaza, Gaza, Khan Younis, Rafah, Jenin, Nablus, Qalqilya, Tulkarm, Bethlehem, Hebron, Tubas, and Jericho and the Jordan Valley. The agency added that President Abbas issued a presidential decree to form a presidential committee comprising several specialized leadership figures to select candidates for the vacant governor positions and to recommend them to the president for a decision.
