Lebanese Army: Large Quantity of Drugs and Weapons Seized in Al-Sharawneh Neighborhood

A unit from the Lebanese Army raided the homes of wanted individuals in the Al-Sharawneh area of Baalbek, seizing a large quantity of drugs and a military weapon of the Kalashnikov type, in addition to a quantity of military ammunition, cash, mobile devices, and military gear. Another army unit, supported by a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate, raided the homes of several wanted individuals in the mentioned area and arrested the Syrian (A.H.) for belonging to the gang of the wanted individual (H.J.). They also seized a quantity of drugs, weapons, military ammunition, and counterfeit currency. According to a statement from the Army's Directorate of Guidance, several individuals wanted for "kidnapping, armed robbery, shooting, and drug trafficking" were arrested, and a variety of weapons, hunting rifles, and different ammunition, as well as drugs, mobile devices, surveillance cameras, and counterfeit cash were seized. The confiscated items were handed over, and investigations began with the detainees under the supervision of the competent judiciary.
