Launch of the International Contemporary Dance Festival in Algeria

Algeria has launched the eleventh edition of the International Cultural Festival of Contemporary Dance under the theme "Memory," featuring the participation of around 150 dancers from Tunisia, Italy, France, Britain, Canada, and Algeria, along with the "guest of honor" Mali. The Ballet of Algeria presented three artistic performances at the opening: "Trust" by artist Belmehl Ayoub Nasrallah, "Contradictory Synonym" by artists Boudarbala Yassine and Saadoudi Thileli, and "Collision" by artist Bandi Imad. Additionally, the Ballet of Mali presented a performance titled "Echoes of the Drums." The last edition of the festival was held in November 2019 before being paused due to the COVID-19 pandemic and its repercussions.
