The Russian Ministry of Defense announced the destruction of the "last Ukrainian warship" two days ago in the port of Odesa during a missile strike. Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov stated, "The last Ukrainian warship, Yuri Olifierenko, was destroyed at the ship mooring in the port of Odesa," noting that the ship was targeted "with high-precision weapons."
The ministry indicated that its forces managed to force units of the Ukrainian army to retreat from their positions around two residential areas, Krasnohorivka and Yasynuvata, in the eastern region of Donetsk, which Moscow unilaterally claimed to have annexed.
The ministry added that "intense fighting" is still ongoing around Avdiivka, a large city located between the two residential areas, which has experienced extensive destruction due to months of battles. A spokesperson for the Ukrainian navy, Oleg Shalyk, confirmed that he would not respond to any claims from Russia, stating that "the navy will not disclose any information regarding war losses."
