The head of the "Democratic Gathering" bloc, MP Teymour Jumblatt, stated that the minimum logic of protecting what remains of institutions necessitates the appointment of a new governor for the Central Bank of Lebanon, "in order to avoid monetary and financial risks that increase the suffering of the Lebanese citizen." Jumblatt emphasized that it is the government's duty to complete this process, and the political forces should facilitate the matter away from the logic of political quotas and mutual vetoes.
