Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced that North Korean leader Kim Jong Un's trip to Russia and his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin are part of a comprehensive visit that Kim is making to Russia. A source in South Korea stated that Kim is heading to Russia on a private train after Pyongyang and Moscow confirmed the summit with Putin on Monday. This comes amid increasing isolation for Russia due to the war in Ukraine. Peskov stated, "There will be talks between the delegations. Afterwards, if necessary, the leaders will continue their communication in a bilateral manner privately." He pointed out that the main topic of conversation will be bilateral relations, saying, "We will continue to strengthen the bonds of our friendship."
