Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian received his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan today, Sunday, in Tehran, and discussed various regional and international issues. After the meeting, Abdollahian confirmed that the talks with the Turkish minister were "positive and constructive," indicating that "we discussed the issue of water scarcity and agreed that the joint technical committee will visit Tehran for a new round of talks." He stated, "We appreciate Turkey’s constructive positions regarding the borders with Syria and the return of refugees," noting that an agreement was reached to open new border crossings with Turkey.
