The Chairman and General Director of the Beirut and Mount Lebanon Water Establishment, Jean Gibran, indicated that "the institution's funds are in Lebanese lira, and the problem is that the central bank does not convert the funds to dollars for the stations to be able to pump water." He added in a conversation with "Voice of Lebanon": "Water is available, but it cannot be delivered to the people due to a lack of fuel, in addition to the repeated electricity outages."
