Auction of a Painting Signed by Zelenskyy for $100,000

Bidding has started on a 101.5 x 61 cm painting by American artist Oleg Jones, beginning at $50,000, with the goal of selling it for at least $100,000, according to Bobby Livingston, the executive vice president of RR Auction in Boston.

The auction house stated that proceeds from the auction will benefit the International Charity Foundation of Dmytro Kasianenko, based in Kyiv, through the U.S.-based "Power of Dream" foundation, and will be used to purchase medical equipment, supplies, and medications for the Ukrainian people.

Livingston noted, "The need to fund these agencies is so great that Zelenskyy took the time to sign this painting amid the enormous pressure his country is facing." The painting depicts Zelenskyy against a background of the blue and yellow Ukrainian flag, with several prominent stars in the upper left corner forming a heart around a golden trident from the nation's coat of arms.
