Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi warned Egyptians today against the fragmentation of their country as occurred in 2011, noting that building the state and restoring its status in various fields requires significant effort and sacrifice. During the 37th cultural seminar of the armed forces on the occasion of Martyr's Day, Sisi cautioned Egyptians against "causing the destruction of your country once again; this actually happened in 2011... destroying nations and their peoples from within is cheaper." He highlighted the success achieved in combating terrorism in Sinai, stating that "with each passing day, the state is regaining its status despite the global economic crisis." He emphasized that "terrorism will not succeed in destroying a country whose people are united," confirming that they have "paid a high price for Egypt to enjoy safety and stability."
