Germany drew 2-2 with Mexico in Philadelphia last night in the second match for coach Julian Nagelsmann as host of the 2024 European Championship. Germany, which defeated the United States 3-1 last Saturday, opened the scoring in the 25th minute through Antonio Rüdiger, who headed the ball in after a corner taken by Leroy Sané. Aurel Antuna equalized 12 minutes later by converting a cross from Hirving Lozano into the net. Mexico took a 2-1 lead just after the break when Eric Sanchez met Antuna's cross with a header. However, the lead did not last long, as Niclas Füllkrug equalized in the 51st minute after Mexican goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa deflected Florian Wirtz's shot off the goal line.
