Cancellation of 900 Flights as Typhoon

Authorities in Japan canceled flights today, Tuesday, and urged tens of thousands to evacuate their homes as the tropical storm Kahnun approaches the Okinawa island chain, raising concerns about heavy rainfall and strong winds until Thursday. Authorities advised residents across a vast area of the tropical prefecture to evacuate as the storm slowly moves northwest, with expectations of accompanying strong winds. According to Asahi TV, the Naha city airport has been closed, and all flights to and from the area have been canceled, resulting in the cancellation of more than 900 domestic and international flights starting from noon today.
