A man died as a result of a fire caused by his electric bike battery in his home in London. Firefighters rushed to a house in Kentish Town, northwest London, yesterday after receiving 13 calls about the blaze, which took over two hours to extinguish. According to the British newspaper "Daily Mail," 10 fire engines and 70 firefighters were deployed to rescue the man, who was the head of a household. He perished in the fire that completely destroyed his home and caused damage to other houses. Five people managed to escape the building before the firefighting team arrived, which later found a man on the ground floor of the property, deceased from burns and smoke inhalation. Preliminary investigations into the incident suggest that the fire was most likely caused by a fault in the electric bike battery that was being charged and was found in the property. Tenants in the building organized a fundraising campaign for the family that lost its breadwinner and suffered significant damage to their home.
