Minister of Defense Meets Algerian Ambassador in Familiarization Visit

The Minister of National Defense in the caretaker government, Maurice Sleem, met today, Tuesday, in his office in Yarzeh, with the Algerian Ambassador Rachid Belabaki in a protocol visit, on the occasion of his assuming his new position. They discussed bilateral relations and enhancing them on all levels. The Algerian Ambassador affirmed his country's continued support for Lebanon and the work to strengthen cooperation between the two countries. For his part, the Minister of Defense highlighted the depth of Lebanese-Algerian relations, pointing out that "both countries have always stood by each other in Arab and international forums."
