A freight train carrying limestone derailed in Odisha, with no casualties reported. The Times of India reported today that five cars went off the tracks, without any news of victims. The incident occurred in the Bargarh area, about 500 kilometers from Balasore, where a passenger train collided last Friday. A spokesperson for the Indian Railways stated, "The train is owned by a private company and was transporting limestone from a mining site to a cement factory on a narrow-gauge railway owned by the company," which was not named. It is worth mentioning that two passenger trains collided on June 2 in the same state, Odisha, where several cars of a fast train heading to Chennai derailed and crashed into a freight train on parallel tracks. Due to the collision, several cars overturned, resulting in 275 fatalities and 1,175 injuries, including 793 who were discharged from hospitals, according to official figures.
