Intensified Fighting in the Ukrainian Regions of Donetsk and Zaporizhia

The Russian army announced today, Friday, that fighting has intensified in the Ukrainian regions of Donetsk and Zaporizhia, stating that it has destroyed "more than 21 Ukrainian tanks in battles across key sectors of the frontline." A spokesperson for the Russian Vostok group explained that "13 Ukrainian tanks were destroyed in the Zaporizhia region, and eight in the Donetsk region." The group reported that artillery and drone battles have erupted. Russian news agencies quoted the Ministry of Defense saying today that its forces continued to repel Ukrainian attacks in the Zaporizhia region in southern Ukraine. Separately, the Russian Ministry of Defense stated that it launched a long-range strike overnight on "foreign-made ammunition and weapons."
