Erling Haaland, the Manchester City forward and reigning Premier League champion, won the Professional Footballers' Association Player of the Year award on Tuesday. The 23-year-old player received more votes than his teammates Kevin De Bruyne and John Stones, as well as Arsenal players Martin Ødegaard and Bukayo Saka, and former Tottenham striker Harry Kane, who now plays for Bayern Munich. Haaland capped off his remarkable season by scoring 52 goals in 53 matches across all competitions last season, contributing to City's victories in the Premier League, FA Cup, and UEFA Champions League. Saka won the Young Player of the Year award for the first time after being nominated for the fourth consecutive season. Aston Villa's Rachel Daly was awarded the Women’s Premier League Player of the Year after finishing as the league's top scorer with 22 goals. Chelsea's Lauren James received the Young Women's Player of the Year award.
