Kuwaiti authorities have announced the arrest of 16 individuals of Asian and European nationalities on charges of engaging in immoral activities for money. In a statement, the Security Media explained: "The Criminal Security Sector has managed to apprehend 16 individuals of Asian and European nationalities for engaging in acts contrary to public morals in exchange for monetary compensation."
The statement continued: "Security efforts and intensified monitoring of public morality standards, along with ongoing daily searches and investigations of accounts on websites and social media platforms specializing in immoral activities, have resulted in the apprehension of offenders."
It was added that the Criminal Security Sector, represented by the General Administration for the Protection of Public Morals, managed to arrest two individuals, one of whom was managing several websites in various areas used for immoral activities. A camera setup was found in their possession to document and monitor the entry and exit of individuals. Additionally, nine women and four men were arrested for engaging in immorality for monetary compensation in the Mahboula area. Investigations revealed that a European woman was managing an account to promote immorality, and she was apprehended, revealing that she belonged to an international network. All of them have been referred to the relevant authorities for necessary legal action.
