The French Ligue 1 announced today, Thursday, that the American private investment group Arctos Partners has acquired a minority stake in "Paris Saint-Germain," the reigning champions of France. The club stated that Arctos's investments will be allocated to developing the club's operations and supporting its initiatives related to facilities, including the stadium and training center. The two parties did not disclose the value of the deal, but the "Financial Times" reported that Arctos will acquire 12.5% of the club's shares, which values the club at four billion euros ($4.32 billion). The Qatar Sports Investments group, which acquired the club in 2011, will remain the decision-maker in the French club.
