Arrest of an Iraqi Traveler Carrying an Amount Exceeding the Allowed Limit

The border crossings authority announced today, Thursday, the arrest of an Iraqi traveler carrying an amount that exceeds the allowed limit according to the Central Bank regulations. A statement from the authority mentioned: "The Directorate of Baghdad International Airport Customs, in cooperation with the Customs Center and Customs Police, managed to apprehend an Iraqi traveler found with an undeclared amount of money exceeding the limit set by the Central Bank, totaling (38,900) dollars, which she was hiding in a professional manner." It added: "A committee has been formed, and a proper seizure record has been organized, and the accused has been referred to the Baghdad Airport Police Directorate to take appropriate legal action against her."
