Saudi Arabia Officially Bids to Host the 2034 World Cup

The Saudi Football Federation announced today, Monday, that it has "sent an official letter of candidacy for the Kingdom to host the 2034 World Cup to the International Football Federation (FIFA)," noting that it has "received support from 70 federations within 72 hours." The Saudi Federation stated that "the letter represents an official confirmation of the Kingdom's commitment to pursue the candidacy process organized by FIFA." It added that the Kingdom "intends in its bid (...) to organize an exceptional edition of the tournament, reflecting the Kingdom's eagerness to invest in the development of football, while also providing football experiences filled with passion for players, officials, and fans."
