Lebanese security forces managed to arrest a father who repeatedly abused his minor children, a situation that was exposed by videos circulating on social media. The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division stated that they tracked the father after revealing his identity and determining his place of residence. His name is A.J. (born in 1979, Syrian). Subsequently, a patrol moved to his home located in the Naameh area and arrested him.
During the investigation, he admitted to abusing his children due to their absence from home without anyone’s knowledge. When they were interviewed in the presence of a juvenile representative, they reported being subjected to repeated beatings by their father. A.J. was detained at the Damour police station. Upon examination by a forensic doctor, redness on the back and legs, as well as pain resulting from physical violence, was found.
A.J. was held for investigation, and the children were handed over to their mother. The father was also arrested for illegally entering the country based on the instructions of the relevant judiciary.
