In Turkey, Five People Killed Due to Floods

The Turkish official news station "TRT Haber" reported today, Wednesday, that "five people have died due to heavy rains and flooding in northwestern Turkey." Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya stated, "Search and rescue operations are ongoing, and we are committed to providing financial support to families in the affected areas." Additionally, the Istanbul governor's office noted in a statement that "the amount of rain that fell on the city in less than six hours is equivalent to what is usually experienced in the month of September."
