Manchester City Approves Offer from Al Nassr

An English media report confirmed today, Wednesday, that "Al Nassr Club from Saudi Arabia is close to finalizing a deal to sign Spanish defender Aymeric Laporte during the current summer transfer window." The British website "The Athletic" stated that "Al Nassr has settled on acquiring Aymeric Laporte from Manchester City." It added that "Manchester City has approved the offer made by Al Nassr for Laporte," noting that "the player is open to the idea of transferring to the Saudi Pro League." Apparently, the refusal of French defender Clément Lenglet from Barcelona to join Al Nassr prompted the Arab champion to look for another defender. Laporte's chances of participating with Manchester City have diminished following the signing of Croatian defender Joško Gvardiol from RB Leipzig.
