Landmine Explosion in Syria Injures Smuggler Attempting to Cross into Lebanon

A landmine explosion occurred at the illegal al-Jawasim crossing on the Syrian side of the al-Kabir River, opposite the town of Khatt al-Betrol in the border area of Wadi Khaled, injuring Syrian national Abdul Razzaq K. M. who was attempting to cross into Lebanon illicitly. Lebanese Red Cross volunteers, in collaboration with local residents, transported the injured individual to Saydet al-Salam Hospital in the town of Qbayyat.
