Olympics Welcomes Russian and Belarusian Athletes Again as Neutral Competitors

The International Olympic Committee announced today, Friday, that athletes from Russia and Belarus who have qualified for the Paris 2024 Olympics can participate in next year's Games as neutral competitors, without flags, logos, or national anthems. Initially, athletes were banned from international competition following Russia's invasion of Ukraine last year, but they have been gradually allowed to return in most sports as neutral competitors.
