Sultan Al Jaber, the President of the COP28 climate conference, stated on Monday that he recognizes that countries around the world have strong opinions regarding the inclusion of language related to fossil fuels and renewable energy in the negotiating text for the United Nations climate summit hosted by the UAE in a month. He added that there needs to be a common ground. Al Jaber said, "I want your cooperation to reach solutions that can achieve consistency, common ground, and consensus among all parties." He made these remarks during a preparatory summit for COP28 held in Abu Dhabi, attended by approximately 70 ministers and 100 delegates.
