The Army Command – Directorate of Guidance issued a statement today, Tuesday, stating: "On 27/6/2023, a unit from the army carried out raids on the houses of wanted individuals in the Sharawna area – Baalbek for crimes of kidnapping, theft, drug trafficking, and gunfire. They arrested citizens (J.J.) and (T.J.), seized two illegal vehicles, a number of military weapons, a quantity of ammunition, and drugs."
It was further noted that "another unit arrested citizen (A.K.) and Syrian (H.J.) at the Harbatta checkpoint, seizing a quantity of hashish, Captagon pills, and a military pistol in their possession."
It confirmed that "the seized items were handed over, and an investigation with the detainees has begun under the supervision of the competent judiciary."
