The Foreign Relations Office of the Lebanese Forces Party emphasized today, Monday, its commitment and "the commitment of the Lebanese people to the highest relationships of friendship, respect, and kinship with the State of Kuwait and its brotherly people." The statement said: "We acknowledge Kuwait and its rulers and governments for their constant support for Lebanon during its difficult times, helping it overcome all of its political, security, and economic crises, and their ongoing commitment to the sovereignty of its state, the safety of its territory, and the freedom and dignity of its people."
It added: "We value all that Kuwait has provided in terms of assistance to Lebanon at various times over the years, and we affirm that the historical relationship between the two countries and peoples has never been based on narrow material interests, but is governed and protected by generous Kuwaiti hands, genuine Lebanese hospitality, and a friendship founded on love and respect."
