Al-Bizzari: The File of Solid and Medical Waste in Sidon is Dangerous

MP Abdul Rahman Al-Bizzari commented on "the medical waste irresponsibly and randomly dumped in the city of Sidon," stating in a press release: "What is currently happening regarding the removal of solid and medical waste in the city is a serious matter that threatens the safety of citizens and the environment they live in." He considered that "Sidon is paying the price for the negligence occurring in monitoring waste disposal, whether within Sidon's administrative boundaries or in the surrounding municipalities, which for unclear and unknown reasons have removed waste containers, turning Sidon and some of the surrounding areas into dumping grounds for random waste." He added: "This has led to dangerous environmental and economic repercussions." The statement noted that "Al-Bizzari contacted the Public Prosecutor, Judge Rahif Ramadan, urging him to take the necessary legal measures to prevent the recurrence of such incidents that threaten public safety."
