The "Fatah" movement made a change in the leadership of the Palestinian National Security in Sidon, appointing Abu Mohammad Fahd as the new commander, replacing Abu Iyad Al-Shalaan. Al-Shalaan had been appointed temporarily following the assassination of Major General Abu Ashraf Al-Armoushi, who was killed along with four of his escorts inside the Ain al-Hilweh camp at the end of July. Al-Shalaan will remain in his organizational role, serving as the commander of the "militia" forces and a member of the regional committee of the "Fatah" movement.
