Nasrallah: Political Conflicts in Lebanon are Linked to the Desire for Leadership

The Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, pointed out today, Thursday, that "a large part of the conflicts in Lebanon and the world is related to the struggle for power and leadership." Nasrallah remarked that those who instigate wars in the world are the political, financial, and economic elites in order to serve their interests, indicating that "many wars in history were fought for the struggle over spoils, oil, markets, and energy, rather than for principles and the spread of justice on earth." He emphasized that "the most important issue in any battle or conflict, when choosing your side, is to determine who your enemy is," suggesting that "knowing the enemy, their capabilities, plans, projects, and goals is fundamental." Nasrallah concluded: "Anyone can slip; we must remain vigilant and no one should consider themselves in a space of safety."
